There's always been a 'pick and mix' quality to Stuff Packs – you're only supposed to go for the ones that appeal to you.īut when you consider that you can buy one meaty Game Pack for the price of two slight Stuff Packs, the difference in value is clear. The average player isn't going to buy every single pack after all. On paper, it's not necessarily a bad thing.

This led to Stuff Packs that felt niche – themes have included, for example, Halloween parties and kitchen objects. The idea behind Stuff Packs early on appeared to be based on providing a selection of Create-a-Sim and Build/Buy items connected to a certain theme, along with a minor gameplay feature (popcorn maker, anyone?).
